Today an extraordinary session of the Kostanay regional maslikhat was held.

On the agenda was the issue of coordinating the appointment of candidates for the post of akim of Kostanay region.

The state inspector of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Baurzhan Kasenov, made a presentation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, about giving consent to the appointment of Kostanay Region Akim, Archimedes Mukhambetov.

“Arkhimedes Mukhambetov has extensive experience in leadership positions in government, was the Akim of Aktobe, Akim of the Aktobe region, since September 2015 he is the Akim of Kostanay region,” the Head of State said in his presentation.

Also, the deputy of the regional maslikhat Bereke Mukhametkaliyev addressed the deputies.

He noted Archimedes Mukhambetov as a professional and expert in his field, and also suggested that the deputies of the regional maslikhat support the candidature presented by the Head of State.

The deputies unanimously approved the candidature of the acting akim of the region, Archimedes Mukhambetov.

The secretary of the Kostanay regional maslikhat, Saylaubek Eshchanov, congratulating Archimedes Mukhambetov, noted that the deputies are ready to continue their joint work on further socio-economic development of Kostanay region.

In turn, Archimedes Mukhambetov thanked the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev for his confidence, and also wished the deputies good luck in working together.
